In 1987, a group of Dominican Specialists, decide to open the first specilized clinic for Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery in the Dominican Republic.

 

In February of 1988  the Center for Plastic Surgery  of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic (Centro de Cirugia Plastica de Santo Domingo en RepublicaDominicana), CECIP.  This clinic, immediately  received  great acceptance from the population in general, and groups of  plastic surgeons begin to incoporate themselves. And even though they did not have their offices there, would take their patients there for surgery.

Shortly thereafter, it was evident  that the place was too small and there weren´t enough beds to receive the many patients that required plastic surgery.  Hence, the enlargement of the clinic was in order, and fortunately, the perfect site was found which was right next to the old clinic.  The lot was bought, and a new modern building is designed for the specific functions of a plastic surgery clinic for patients of the Dominican Republic and abroad.

 

This is how in the month of March 1999, the Center for Plastic Surgery of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic  (CECIP), opens it´s doors to their new local, where they offer their patients all the facilities and services, and other backup specialties, so that they  may offer a complete integrated service.

 

Dr. Jose A. Hungria is part of the Plastic Surgery clinic in the Dominican Republic, where he attends to local as well as foreign patients , because they trust his experience, treatment and dedication.  Docens of patients that have gone under different types of plastic surgery procedures , are living testimony of Dr. Hungria´s work.
